Who is SAIRA?

SAIRA is an open innovation platform that unites research and technology organizations and the private and public sector to tackle the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. We connect our ecosystem of innovators, companies, start-ups, organizations and strategic partners around the globe. Expand your networks, search for solutions and identify innovations.

Connecting Knowledge with Opportunity, for good

Why is SAIRA Unique?

Global challenges are nearly impossible to tackle when established experts and upstart innovators work in silos. If research and technology organizations, governments, NGOs, and the private sector could collaborate on these challenges more easily, lasting solutions would certainly come more quickly. SAIRA aims to make that happen. We provide the first open innovation platform that strives to transfer technologies and implement innovative solutions for sustainable development through collaborative projects. SAIRA’s Challenges bridge the geographical and administrative gap between market needs, local challenges, innovative business ideas, and expertise in research and development by offering easily accessible matchmaking tools.

Who is SAIRA for?

We bridge the geographical and administrative gap between market needs, local challenges, innovative business ideas, and expertise in R&D by offering 4 types of Challenges depending on your role:
Research and Technology Organizations
Industry
Start-ups
Governmental & Non-Governmental Organizations

SAIRA’s scientists and engineers are working at over 40 RTOs in more than 30 countries around the world.

Turning Research into Practice

Research and technology organizations (RTOs) are specialized in developing, validating, testing, prototyping, and standardizing technologies and play a crucial role in the incubation and commercialization of innovative technologies. In short, scientists and engineers at member RTO’s make their livelihood by turning research into practice. SAIRA encourages our members to share knowledge and expertise on a global scale, and to connect their innovative ideas and results in various research areas across borders and boundaries.
